Code of Ethics

OTB Group has a global Code of Ethics that promotes safe working conditions, protects employee rights, prohibits forced labor, harassment and discrimination, and safeguards the environment and animal welfare, while complying with relevant international laws.

The ethics that guide our business

We have a Code of Ethics that guides our business operations and the relationships with our stakeholders. It is applied equally in all countries where we operate. The Code promotes safe working conditions, employee rights, and prohibits child and forced labor, harassment, and discrimination. It also obliges the Group to protect the environment and animal welfare and comply with relevant international laws.

The Code has three main sections: General Principles, Standards of Conduct, and Rules for implementing and monitoring the Code.

Code of Conduct

The General Principles

The General Principles are the fundamental values and regulations underlying our Group's culture.

The Standards of Conduct

The Standards of Conduct set out the specific rules of conduct that employees must follow to adhere to the Group's values and principles and practice ethical behavior.

The Rules

The Rules for implementing and monitoring the Code describe the control system for compliance and continuous improvement. The Code is given to all new employees and shared with suppliers.

Supplier Code of Conduct

We are committed to improving our social and environmental performance by ensuring that human rights are respected, safe workplace conditions are maintained, and the environment and animal welfare are protected. To ensure this, all suppliers and subcontractors are required to comply with the supplier Code of Conduct.

OTB guidelines for suppliers

Our Code of Conduct is based on globally-recognized social and environmental standards, such as the eight fundamental ILO conventions and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It provides detailed guidelines for suppliers to follow and sets expectations for responsible supply chain management practices.

The Code covers the basic principles that the Group upholds, including regular employment, freedom of association, health and safety, protection of the environment, and animal welfare. Additionally, suppliers are required to implement a process to ensure facility compliance by raising awareness about the Code's provisions among their employees and suppliers.
